I have completed 2 shifts this week! I will say that nursing has been going not too bad so far! I have really liked my preceptors and I have became more confident in providing safe patient care. I have been so inspired to become more proactively in this blog. I spent the last hour violently being mad at not easily navigating how to document my diary entries here in a similar blog post fashion! I'll figure it out slowly but surely. Anyhow, I've been reaching out to others on what sort of blog entries they would love to hear from me. This includes night-shift stories, interview and specific resume tips, etc! Expect that to come soon. I'll be working on a wide-range of topics which I am MAJOR excited for! It's challenging making the time for this blog, but I am SO committed! I am really hoping to collaborate with other content creators soon, so that we can cover topics significant to our nursing profession.
Random Thoughts for my Next Nursing Shift
Shoot, I really ought to do my errands. I will say that night shift is a different beast and I come across so many things in my shifts that really humble me LOL. I really am reminded to count my blessings.
My nursing career has really opened so many doors and avenues for me. Don't get me wrong - there are many issues in the American healthcare system. We all sit under it. However, I will say this. I have thoroughly enjoyed my job as a nurse thus far - three months in. I am super humbled to be helping people and being taken cared of as well. I am sure many of you have heard about the fires which have started on Lahaina on Maui. I'm saddened for the lives impacted on the island. My colleagues have been praying. I am happy I was able to donate to the local Hawaiian organizations committed to serving their people. I'm still catching up to the updates of the wildfires as of now and seeing what I may do on my end to help the residents on the island. As I'm writing this post - I think I'll hang a little flyer at work with some resources.
